Looking over the All Star Circuit of Champions full-time roster that was released Tuesday, it's pretty much the same subjects.
Dale Blaney is the dominator. A six-time series champion who should have little trouble making it seven.
Challengers on the docket are Chad Kemenah, Sheldon Haudenschild and Danny Holtgraver. There are also a couple of newbies on the list, including Kraig Kinser, who comes over from the World of Outlaws and already has a non-points win in Florida.
But the most interesting name also has the least experience. Bradley Howard is not only entering his third year of 410 Sprint Car racing, it's his third year in any form of racing ... period.
Seems like a big undertaking for a 21-year-old. Traveling to Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and other Midwest states every weekend to face Blaney and Co. on their home turf is dicey. It's even more so for a driver that has a career best finish of sixth.
That's the appeal of this move. Howard is a true underdog and isn't afraid to cut his teeth against the best.
