A mid-June afternoon, 85 degrees and sunny, the perfect day for some great dirt track racing in the Pigeon Hills. The "fabulous" Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA held its annual National Fallen Firefighters Night/Kids Night this past weekend and it was another success! There were games and goodies for the kids, three beautifully wrapped tribute cars to admire, and an autograph session with a mix of 410, 358, and Legend drivers along with Tiny Miss Motorsports 2017, Linley Dewease. Not to mention, some amazing racing in all three classes!

Danny Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing #48, parked it in Victory Lane Saturday night after starting fifth in the 33-lap 410 Sprint feature. That makes four wins for him so far this season in the Pigeon Hills and he was one happy camper taking home the awesome trophy along with the $5000 check!

Alan Krimes followed Dietrich in second after trekking through the field from his 11th place starting position. Brian Monteith, the current Lincoln Speedway point leader, finished right behind Krimes in third, he also made moves through the field after starting 12th. Cory Haas, who came from 14th, and Matt Campbell, who started 10th, finished out the top five.

The 20-lap 358 feature was a night to remember for the driver of the Exceleration Motorsports #90, Jordan Givler, who would celebrate his 27th birthday a few hours early with his first win ever at Lincoln Speedway. Givler started on the pole and battled with Ashley Cappetta, driver of one of the night's tribute cars, during the first few laps for the lead. Givler reclaimed it and proceeded to hold off 358 stand-out, Doug Hammaker, for the rest of the feature.

Doug Hammaker, who charged from his 11th place starting position to second within the first five laps, finished the night in that position. Ashley Cappetta and her gorgeous car took home third, while Brie Hershey and Troy Wagaman Jr rounded out the top five.
